Within the confines of Botany Bay Plantation, several miles inland from Edisto Beach, SC, is a well-known boneyard beach, featuring a mix of fallen and still erect tree skeletons  The beach is accessed via an 0.5 mile hiking path from a parking area well within the plantation, which is managed by the state of South Carolina.  There is no cost to visit the plantation, but visitors must sign a log register, and hours of operation are limited.
